Subject: My three experiences

My name is Kristyn and I'm from Michigan. In my life I have had three very distinct experiences with shadow people and shadow animals.

I had my first experience when I was only 4 years old. I had gone to sleep in my parent's room and hadn't even gone to sleep yet. I was sitting up on bed and I saw a shadow person and dog enter in through the wall. The person walked over to my dad's side of the bed and appeared to be looking around. The dog went to my mom's side and put its paws up on the bed. The person then gestured to the dog and they left through the closed door. I was still there whole time and my parents were both asleep. At the time I thought they were ghosts and I told my parents the next morning, but they didn't believe me.

The second time was when I was in my mid-twenties and sharing an apartment with my boyfriend. The bedroom door was closed and we both saw a shadow cat walk across the room and disappear. At first, we thought it was our black cat, but she was in the other room and the door was closed. We looked all around the room and couldn't find it. We then went to the living room and our cat was asleep on the couch. We weren't scared, but we were confused. I then told my boyfriend that I saw it was a shadow cat much like the shadow dog I saw as a kid.

The final story is from a few years ago in my current apartment where I live alone. I slept with my door open so the cats could come in and out. Something woke me in the middle of the night. I looked towards the bedroom door and there was a shadow person standing in the doorway. My first thought was someone had broken onto the apartment. I couldn't see any eyes but felt their gaze on me. My heart was racing super-fast and I tried to pretend to be asleep hoping they would leave. After what had to have been a half hour, I didn't hear anything. I started talking to my cat who was next to me and basically narrating that I was going to get up. In case there was someone, I didn't want them to know I knew. I turned on the light and no one was in the apartment and the door to the apartment was locked. I had very clearly seen someone in my bedroom doorway though, so it had to have been a shadow person. This time felt different from the rest. I don't know if it was because I was alone or this entity was more malevolent than the others, but I was so scared, and it took awhile to calm down. I don't know how long this one was present since I didn't keep my eyes open for long, but the sense of panic definitely lasted awhile.
